Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is a three-time Olympian and world record-holding American hurdler and sprinter. She made history at just 16 by qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming the youngest U.S. track and field Olympian since 1972. She has since become one of the sport’s most dominant athletes, winning gold in the 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay at both the Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024 Olympics—breaking her own world record in the hurdles six times, most recently with a stunning 50.37 seconds in Paris. Sydney’s memoir ‘Far Beyond Gold: Running from Fear to Faith’ was released in 2024, and inspires readers to find strength through faith in God.
A two-time Gatorade National High School Track & Field Athlete of the Year, McLaughlin-Levrone competed at the University of Kentucky before turning pro. Born in Dunellen, New Jersey, she now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Andre Levrone Jr., and continues to inspire through both her faith and her unmatched accomplishments on the track.
