EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Visitors at American Dream were stopped in their tracks this morning as a “Special Report” flashed across the massive 26-foot screens outside of the New Jersey Hall of Fame announcing its newest inductee: the legendary agent Gracie Lou Hart for her undercover role as Miss United States finalist Gracie Lou Freebush.
Upon learning of her induction, Hart shared her excitement, “I’m truly honored to be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. Honestly, I haven’t been this nervous since I had to play the water glasses in front of a live audience wearing a Drindi. To the people of the Garden State: thank you for recognizing that you can be a federal agent and still look ‘One in a Million,’ even if you’re mostly just here for the donuts in the lobby. And, of course… I just really want world peace!”
If you’ve already started practicing your baton twirling or searching for your tiara – Happy April Fools’ Day!
While the Hall of Fame believes Sandra Bullock’s iconic character deserves a Nobel Prize for her commitment to world peace, Gracie Hart remains a beloved work of Garden State fiction. While she won’t be joining the ranks of Bruce Springsteen or Buzz Aldrin permanently, the NJHOF couldn’t resist celebrating the spirit of everyone’s favorite cinematic agent.
“At the New Jersey Hall of Fame, we celebrate greatness in all its forms, even the fictional ones that make us laugh,” said General Manager and Executive Director Bryan Blaney. “April Fools’ is the perfect time to remind everyone that a huge part of showing Jersey pride is having a sense of humor.”
